Aristides Instruments is a leading manufacturer of high-end, custom electric guitars, based in Haarlem, the Netherlands. What sets this innovative brand apart is its use of advanced materials and cutting-edge production techniques. They deliver their instruments directly to customers worldwide—typically without the involvement of distributors—offering a high degree of personalization. Think custom inlays, specialized paintwork, and unique details that give each guitar its own identity.
Since early 2018, I have been working closely with Aristides Instruments as a graphic designer, creating all custom inlay and paintwork designs. For each customer, I develop tailor-made visuals that serve first as mock-ups for approval, and then as production-ready files. These designs are delivered as vector graphics, making them suitable for various manufacturing techniques such as CNC milling and vinyl plotting.
Through this collaboration, I combine creative design with technical precision—ensuring every Aristides guitar not only sounds exceptional but also stands out visually. Each design is perfectly aligned with Aristides’ production process, allowing for maximum efficiency in custom CNC’ing and finishing workflows.
Below is a selection of custom models I’ve had the opportunity to design in recent years.
